Art Walks in Southern California

Southern California is a haven for artists and art lovers both. The summer months are especially blossoming with artistic tours throughout the sunny, southern portion of California. During the second weekend in June art aficionados can participate in the Topanga Canyon Gallery Art Safari Studio Tour. This is a wonderful, self-guided tour which peruses the works of more than 20 artists with studios in the beautiful and exclusive Topanga Canyon.

The Sunday directly after July 4^th is another important day for art lovers in Southern California. Between 11am and 6pm just arrive at the Brand Library Art Galleries in Glendale to pick up your free map, and then be on your way to a fantastic self-guided tour of all the fabulous art galleries in Glendale.

What if you won’t be in Southern California in the summer? Not to worry. Just be there in either the first or second weekend in October and go on the much celebrated Valley Artist Studio Tour. For $20 participants get a map or 45 of the studios in the famous San Fernando Valley within Los Angles’ city limits. Ticket holders also get to meet the artists at a reception on the preceding Saturday night, and then with your wrist band you are on your way to see their work at their studios.

Southern California is an amazingly art-friendly place and visitors at all interested should take advantage of great atmosphere.
