Since January of 2001, the manufacture, importation and commercialization of stacks and batteries must start to take care of the limits established for the CONAMA: I – with up to 0,010% in weight of mercury, when they will be of the type zinc-manganese and alkaline-manganese; II – with up to 0,015% in weight of cadmium, when they will be of the types alkaline-manganese and zinc-manganese; III – with up to 0,200% in weight of lead, when they will be of the types alcalinamangans and zinc-manganese.
